As I decided to upgrade my automobile, I (we) decided to purchase a crossover vehicle.
Checked out different models in the competion:
Hyundai Tucson:
Pros: Cost, Great looking.
Cons: Too little leg room in the backseat, Trunk space also less.
Honda CR-V:
Cons: Never liked the drive feel of the vehicle.
Toyota Rav4:
Pros: Great handling and symmetrical AWD.
Cons: Did not like the looks of the newer models... too big (it's an optional 7-seater vehicle).
Acura RDX (test drove it just to compare what I am missing with the less costlier vehicles than this):
Pros: Nice looks and handling.
Cons: Cost.
Subaru Outback:
Pros: Like Rav4, great handling and symmetrical AWD. Most value for the price (outside Hyundai).
Cons: not much, on hindsight, lesser availabilty in Northwest.
Finally decided to purchase Subaru Outback.
